101 Things

101 Things

This project isn’t about ticking items off a list – it’s much more than that. It’s being able to say, at any one moment, that I’ve lived life to the fullest and have enjoyed it as much as I could have. It’s also not a list I want to do ‘before I die’ or ‘before I’m 50’; it’s simply a list I want to start now.

The most important thing to do with this list is simply to start it. My goal is purely to make a ‘pilgrimage’ of some sort – a journey where the reward is the feeling that I’ve achieved something – no matter how small it may be. That is something no camera can capture.

Another equally important goal of this list is possibly not to complete it at all, but to instead let someone else have the chance that I missed. John Tierney of Forbes is quoted as saying “With age come limitations. But with age also comes wisdom and money. When it’s too late for you, give someone younger what you always wanted.” Maybe that will be more worthwhile than completing this list will ever be.

So here it is – my list of things I want to accomplish in my life. I haven’t numbered them as having order to this is futile – instead they are organised by category.
